Instructions
  1. Combine the yeast, the sugar and flour with a bit of warm (note: not hot!) milk. Set aside to grow for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the sugar and butter in a kitchen robot or with your own hands!. Add the cooked and mashed potatoes.
  3. Add flour and milk, and combine with the mixture you set aside earlier.
  4. Add some vanilla extract, salt and the rest of the ingredients : flour, milk and the yeast you set aside to grow. Combine and mix everything together, till the mixture stops being sticky. Let the dough sit aside do grow for about 90 minutes.
  5. During this time prepare the blackberries (or other forrest fruit) and the backing tray.
  6. When the dough becomes flaky and light, we can make our blackberry bunns. Cut out the pieces of the dough with a knife or tear them, so that it’s possible to roll them out or simply flatten the dough out. We add 2 tablespoons of berries and knead the dough enough so that it doesn’t peel during the baking.
  7. We fill in the baking tray with our buns and leave them to grow for about 30 minutes. They become fluffy and soft.
  8. Preheat the oven. After the buns have grown moisture them with a beaten egg and water. Bake at 175°C/350°F for 30 minutes.
  9. In the meantime we prepare the blackberry sauce. For this purpose we crush the berries into a mass, add powdered sugar and cream. We thoroughly mix.
  10. After you have taken the buns out of the oven you can simply eat them as they are or dip them with the blackberry sauce.
  11. Bon Appetit!
